China's ginger export market

In November 2025, China's ginger export market exhibited structural adjustments, with differences in export performance between unsalted and finished ginger. The export volume of unsalted ginger in November was approximately 36,900 tons, a decrease of approximately 17.29% compared to October 2025; the value was approximately US$43.04 million, a decrease of approximately 7.03% month-on-month; the average unit price was US$1,167/ton, an increase of 12.41% month-on-month. Compared to November 2024, the export volume increased by approximately 8.08% year-on-year, while the value decreased by approximately 23% year-on-year, and the average unit price decreased by approximately 28% year-on-year.


In November 2025, the total export volume of finished ginger (including salted ginger, dehydrated ginger chips, frozen ginger shreds, and other ginger products) was approximately 1,822 tons, an increase of approximately 14.34% compared to October 2025; the value was approximately US$5.08 million, an increase of approximately 9.85% month-on-month. Compared to November 2024, the export volume decreased by approximately 16% year-on-year, while the value increased by approximately 2.32% year-on-year.
